If you don’t have much money and still want to take a vacation, consider going on a campervan vacation. You can buy or even rent a beautiful VW campervan like Yazzi for your holiday this year. But, if you commit to purchase, you’ll be able to keep using it for many years to come! It could be your new, dream transportation for the perfect holiday. Of course, we’ve got some tips if you want to make the most of this amazing idea.
Stock Up On Superstore Snacks
The whole point of going on vacation in a campervan is that you’re going to be traveling…a lot. You’ll be on the road, taking a trip to new destinations and exploring exciting possibilities. If you think that sounds like fun, we agree, but it can also be expensive. That’s why we suggest you stock up at the supermarket before you travel. Fill your campervan with lots of snacks and goodies so you don’t have to buy food on the go. This will be a lot more expensive and will add more than you think to the cost of your trip.

Don’t Plan
One of the best things about a campervan trip is that you don’t need to worry about where you’re staying or when you get there. Our advice to you is that you don’t plan a route or schedule at all. Instead, you can see where the road takes you, and we’re sure this will lead to new experiences. If you like, you can even use an app to find out where other people are going and head there. This is a great way to meet new people taking the same type of trip as you. Maybe you could also get back to basics. Use a map rather than a satnav. You’ll still know where you are, but you won’t have a set destination.
Spontaneous adventures like this work great alongside an app like Findery. As you drive, you’ll get to see lots of local hidden treasures.
Get A Campervan With All The Equipment
You might want to spend a little more money and make sure you get a campervan with a fridge and a gas hob. It will save you desperately trying to set up a campfire in the rain. Or stopping in some restaurants and wasting some money. You’ll find that the added cost of a bigger campervan is nothing compared to the extra comfort you’ll get.

Don’t Drive Straight After A Flight
You might be planning on traveling to a new country and picking up the campervan when you get there. That’s a brilliant way to explore a new region but don’t make the mistake of traveling straight away. You’ll probably be jetlagged so rest up for a few days in the van. You can then start a couple of days after with fresh eyes and a full engine.
Prepare For The Weather
When you set off in your camper van, it might look like blue skies are ahead. It’s always best to be prepared though, so make sure you make layered clothing in case the weather turns. You might also want to look at getting a portable heater. Particularly, if you’re planning on taking this trip in the winter.
We hope you have a wonderful time on your campervan trip. It’s a great way to travel and throw away the rule book that comes with a typical holiday.
